We also take pride in providing a relaxed environment that may give a positive dental experience to our patients irrespective of their age. We provide pediatric dental care and are wheelchair accessible.

Meet Dr. Chahal
Dr. Chahal has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. She achieved her D.D.S. degree from New York University (NYU). She practised as a full-time dentist in Alberta, before moving to British Columbia.
Dr. Chahal treats her patients in a calm and caring manner. She believes in providing her patients with the best possible treatment options and regularly attends continuing education courses. Dr. Chahal is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC), and British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA).
She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from the Government Medical and Dental College, Punjabi University India. Dr.Chahal enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, and outdoor fun.
Meet Cathie, Receptionist CDA – Certified Dental Assistant
Cathie has been in the dental profession for over 30 years. She enjoys helping patients manage their dental care. She loves spending time with her family camping, boating, and golfing. Cathie is an avid hockey fan.

Meet Ivan, RDH – Registered Dental Hygienist
Ivan acquired his dental hygiene degree in 2007 from Toronto, Ontario. He has been working with this office since then. He is highly committed to his work. He is married and has two children. He likes outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, and road trips to see different places.
Meet Bonnie, CDA – Certified Dental Assistant
Bonnie has been in the dental profession for over 30 years as well. She began her career working alongside her dad, Dr. Stevenson, for 25 years. She enjoys spending time with each patient, helping them achieve their dental goals. Now that Bonnie’s boys are grown, she spends time scrapbooking, walking, and gardening.
Meet Faaiza, CDA - Certified Dental Assistant
Faaiza graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from CDI college in 2018. She has been working with us the last 3 years and enjoys interacting with patients and making them feel welcome in the office. Faaiza will be furthering her passion for dentistry by going into Dental Hygiene.

In her spare time, you can find her camping, shopping or eating with friends and family.
Meet Gary, Office Manager
Gary has been a part of Opal Dental for many years. He has assumed a growing role as office manager as the practice has expanded. Gary played a key role in the relocation of our office and his experience in Real Estate helped us find this gem of location. He supervised the whole project from design, permits, construction and installation of all our new equipment. He manages the business side of the practice (AP and AR) payroll, IT, marketing and manages the upkeep of all office and dental equipment.

Outside of work, Gary loves to spend his free time outdoors with activities such as hiking, camping and off roading.
Meet Janelle, RDH – Registered Dental Hygienist
Janelle obtained her Bachelor of Dental Sciences (Dental Hygiene) from The University of British Columbia in 2019. She is an active alumni and has contributed back to her career by guiding and nurturing fourth year students at UBC. Patient centred care will always be her priority, and she will always make a consistent effort to provide patients with the treatment they need. Outside of work she enjoys being a foodie, exploring the lower mainland, and spending time with her family.
